Maumee Bay is one, if not my top location choice when choosing a Toledo area engagement session. The sunsets on the water are unbelievable and provide for a soft warm vibe when photographing. It’s super accessible and not a far walk at all. Carly and Erin (pictured above) had their session on the beach area and were able to kick their shoes off to enjoy the sand!

One of the main reasons I thoroughly enjoy photographing here is the variety of looks it provides, as well as those gorgeous sunsets! When looking at locations for engagement sessions, be sure to pick a place that will allow a couple different settings to spruce up your gallery.

Maumee Bay has the Ant Hill that provides a great artistic feel with a large slope above and soft greens. Across from the Ant Hill there are open fields with lots of tall grass that are easy to walk into. Chances are, you’ll be able to see deer there too! There is also a tree path nearby to the Ant Hill that surrounds the lake and gives rich greens and woodsy feels. To end your session, we highly recommend your last stop be at the water for the most beautiful view of the sunset.
